INTRODUCTION |
ALEINU |
The Luminary (Fast of 10th of Teves) |
||
FOLLOWING ALEINU |
GLOSSARY |
Three times daily, at the conclusion of each service, we say Aleinu. This pillar among the prayers declares G-d's sovereignty over all His creation.
Through kavanah (heartfelt mental and spiritual concentration) we turn trustingly toward our loving and attentive Creator. Saying Aleinu and all prayers with kavanah is precious to the Almighty.
Awareness of the historical development of Aleinu and discussing it's meaning will help deepen our kavanah each time we pray.
